Alarm Sensor Information

An alarm sensor is a device capable of detecting change in any physical factor. Motion, heat, light and humidity are some of the factors that are detected by alarm sensors. They are an imperial part of any security system as the performance of the system relies entirely on the response of alarm sensors. There are different types of alarm sensors that are available in the market and users can purchase them as per their requirement.
A common example of alarm sensors is the car alarm shock sensor. This sensor is used in car security systems we see everyday. In case someone forces the car door to open, an alarm is triggered. In some cases, a simple bump in the car will sometimes trigger the alarm, thus alerting the owner. The mechanism of this system is simple. Multiple sensors, usually 5, are mounted against different sections of the car. Once the sensor detects any type of shock, it sends a signal to the circuit to trigger the alarm. Once the alarm is triggered, the owner is alerted that his car is being tampered with.
Another example of alarm sensors is the door alarm sensor. A door alarm sensor is used in automated systems that open and close doors. The door alarm sensor is commonly found installed in garages as to operate the garage door. Early models of door alarm sensors had issues when it came to safety. The door alarm sensor was able to close or open the garage door but could not react in case there was something obstructing the path of the garage door. It could either be a vehicle that has stopped or a person standing below the garage door. However, system improvements lead to the development of door alarm sensors that would trigger the garage door to stop in case of any hindrance.
Water sensor alarm is another typical application of alarm sensors. This application is designed to detect the presence of water in the area it is installed. The water sensor alarm comes fitted in a water leak detector that can be kept wherever water might leak. Typically, the water sensor alarm is kept next to water heaters or pipes. In case water leaks, once it reaches the water sensor alarm, the water sensor will detect the presence of water and trigger the alarm mounted on the circuit, thus alerting the user. The advantage of using the water sensor alarm is that leaks can be detected early, thus preventing any further damage they may cause.
